Swine Flu update – May 6th, 2009
As more cases of the Swine Flu are reported, consumers continue to take precautions. Tamiflu, the brand name for the drug’s chemical name oseltamivir, may be prescribed as a course of treatment before the onset of the flu. However, it should not be taken until flu symptoms exist.
Tamiflu is available online, and can be ordered conveniently 24 hours a day, at LcPharmacy.com. If you have a question about Tamiflu, please contact us at 1-800-551-0463.
Tamiflu belongs to a group of medicines called neuraminidase inhibitors. These medicines prevent the influenza virus from spreading throughout the body. By attacking the virus at its source, rather that masking the symptoms, Tamiflu can help you get back to being healthy fast.
Each Tamiflu pill contains 75mg of the active ingredient and is taken orally. Tami flu is generally well tolerated yet 1 out of 10 people may experience mild to moderate vomiting. Other less common side effects include bronchitis, sleeplessness and vertigo.
Please Note: Tamiflu will not be prescribed for patients under the age of 21.
